Talking about On the Upside.

A couple of photos from the Whirlygig Spotlight event I did earlier this month. Talking about my short films – Crow Feathers, On the Upside, and The Garden – and also doing a Q&A with Mikey Please (of the BAFTA wining, and brilliant, Eagle Man Stag) and Rebecca E Marshall  (a documentary and experimental film maker who showed the poetic doc Glitter and Storm). The photos are by Helen Nias who also reviewed the event on her blog here..

Mind Games screens at Arts Bournemouth

tumblr_mcb6q9GsYQ1qd0fdbo3_1280

Just found out that my short animation Mind Games is screening in a Frankenstein themed film event at Bournemouth Arts, this Saturday (20.10.12.)

The Cabinet of Living Cinema presents:Frankenstein and the Cyborg: A living comic-book experience.

In the empty and derelict manor, Mary reads from her novel, Frankenstein, to a hushed audience. A band of steam-punk musicians strike up to accompany her spine-chilling tale. Behind the young writer and her band, images start to flicker to life: an artist’s anatomical drawings of the tale; then, catapulting the audience centuries into the future, marvelous scenes depicting the age of the cyborg, the artificially intelligent, rebellious descendent of Victor Frankenstein’s monster.’
